THE FUTURE OF GAMINGBy Poisedonis MeruHello fellow gamers and future Guildies. LOL, I say future Guildies because in the future I believe all gamers will be a part of 2 guilds. One for gaming and one for making money while they are gaming. There is really nothing futuristic about making money while gaming. It's more of a mental complex barrier that people have. And it's not just gamers but all sorts of peeps. It's those barriers that THE PROFIT GAMERS GUILD is breaking down. Our goals are simple. We want to make gamers rich, and we use a Guild format to do that. We focus all gamers throughout the world into 1 single money making project. As more gamers realize the potential of this Guild, incomes grow even faster. So, anyways this is one of the predictions for gaming, and of course it's already happening. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another thing that I predict will happen, is the coming about of virtual synthesis in the gaming world. It will be very similiar to the experience on a hollow deck, like the ones in Startrek. These technologies are much closer than many people realize. The movements used with wii are already proof of that. Eventually sensors will be able to detect all movements of the body and be able to virtualize these movements into a game. As well as, the video technology within 3d, 360degree, head screens will give the perception of actually being in the game. And to go even futher in the future, smells and even wind will be incorporated into systems. Most of this technology already exists, it's just a matter of time, money, and economics. As you can see from this video, the technology is right around the corner.
Eventual, gamers will become amongst the fittest people on the planet, since they will really have to incorporate the moves required in the game. Can you imagine battling Orcs and Giants for 2-3 hours every night, lol. And many problems may arise, since the reality factor may bring actual fear while battling demons and the undead. Of course, people who like Second-life will really be walking around in the game, socializing and such. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This whole concept brings in many interesting factors. One that I personally like is the learning factor. You see I spent many years teaching people, from children to adults, and the one thing that I noticed with all people was this. When people are forced to learn things or forced to memorize things, that information is easily forgotten in time. One reason is that the person inwardly was rejecting the information because it was being forced upon them. But when people were happy or interested in something they absorbed the information better and it stayed with them longer. It was because they were the ones who wanted it, so their inner feelings accepted the learning experience. Now, how does this relate to gaming? Let me explain. People enjoy their games. They pick a theme, and dive into it. They research quests, and memorize dungeons, etc. Most times they become very knowledgable about the game, it's weapons, it's mechanics, it's little quirks etc. This is great for the gamer, they become very good at the game and have a sense of pride, which is what the game developers want. For the gamer to be immersed in a fulfilling game world. THE PROBLEM IS - IS THIS WHAT THE PARENTS WANT? Can the knowledge learnt in the game be applied to real-life, or can the playing of the game cause a person to be influenced to choose a career path because of playing a game. So this will be another one of my future predictions Smart game developers will find a way to intregate real-life learning techniques into the games, and make it a serious part of the game otherwise gamers would not be able to get their levels up in certain areas.Let me give you an example, and I hope the people at Crytic Studios read this for future consideration. Lets go 2 years into the future, and Startrek Online has finally come out. There are many races and classes, some specialize in Engineering, some choose a line of being a Medic or Science Officer, as well as being the Captain of their own ships. Lets take the Engineer career path. - As a person progresses this path, they would be required to learn certain formulas concerning real life physics theories, and even take mini space engineering tests, that actually related to the theories in real life.. As a person increased their levels, they would be qualified to build bigger and better, reactors, engines, missle launchers and space ships. This motivates players to actually learn stuff, since they know they would be able to build better equipment later on in the game. Parents would be happier since they know that besides blowing up the universe their kids are actually forced to learn real life knowledge that can be applied later in life. All the while, because the gamers enjoyed the game, they accepted the knowledge they had to learn. For them it wasn't work. it was playing the game. So there was no rejecting in the feelings of that person. This kind of fun learning could also help younger people to decide if they like a career path in Engineering, or science, or medicine, etc. The implementation of these systems is no different than setting up quests, and in most cases, much easier. So the real cost is almost the same for the game developers, but here is the real goody for game developers. They could develop 2 versions of the game, or set up servers that are implemented with the real-life learning techniques. The real-life learning servers could actually charge a higher monthly fee, so instead of paying $14.00 per month, a person may have to pay a $21.00 per month, but I'm sure the parents wouldn't mind since, they would know that server has built in learning techniques into the game. Game developers are trying all kinds of new and fantastic things. But sometimes it's the simple things that will work wonders. Can you imagine a 33 percent increase in the monthly online income fees, plus when all the parents of gamers find out about a fantastic space game that you actually learned a ton of real-life knowledge. So this is my challenge to game developers. Who will be the first game developing company to implement this system? The system is so simple yet could be so powerful, and no one is doing it yet. So game developers, get your marketing guys onboard and seriously check into this, because this future development can be implemented right now, not 20 years from now. Thanks All Poisedonis Meru ==================================================================== As you can see it's all coming together
Now this is not gaming, but it shows you that technology is creeping up faster than you thought.
Now what do we have here in the above videos? We have cameras that detect motion, we have 3d images that we can see, we have robots that can detect balance and movement better than humans. When this can all be put together in a head moniter and processed into a video game, you will have the future of gaming. It wouldn't be too hard to put it all together for a space game, where you sit in your own comfortable chair and fly off into space. This technology is right before us and the smart gaming companies start to look at ways of developing these technologies.
