A: The closed beta for Champions Online begins in mid-November 2008.

A: Beta Testing is the final stage of game testing prior to commercial release. The early phases of testing are usually the first time anyone outside of a developer's employees have seen the game. As you can see, this game even recommends using a dual core processor as a minimum requierement. Another good reason to upgrade your old computer or just as easy get a new one. They are getting less espensive by the day and 800 bucks would get you a very decent gaming computer.
